Useful Tools

Here’s a collection of useful EvE Online tools I’ve made. Some were mentioned in a separate post here but I thought I’d start a collection of links to make it easy to update as I add things to it. Hope these can come in handy for someone. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions about them.

The T2 Manufacturing Spreadsheet is an Excel spreadsheet that I use to keep track of my T2 ship production, currently Caldari T2 craft and mostly Rooks and Falcons. It is currently set for Production Efficiency 4 which is where I’m at, but includes all the build costs from the T1 ship necessary for the T2 hull, to the T2 raw materials for the components. All you have to change is the quantity, and it should recalculate the amounts based on what you put in for the mineral costs. I just create a new tab for each production run, and I also included a simple chart of the prices over time for mins. I’ll be happy to answer questions about it, or would love constructive critical reviews of it as well.

Revised T2 manufacturing spreadsheets: The above sheet over time worked OK, but I refined it to include the flexibility to not have to recreate it each time for each ship. Instead, I created sort of a “template” if you will, which I can then derive a new ship with accurate mineral and component requirements, generate a T2 shopping list, and know what everything may cost me. I found a couple references to the actual formula used to calculate material waste based on skills from the base numbers in the CCP data dump. So I plugged them in and let it do the work. I also created a master Dominion spreadsheet from the CCP data dump tables, and combined the tables to form a listing of the base mins with ship descriptions. So I can just copy/paste from the master spreadsheet and place into my templates as needed. Some manual work, but not as much as before. I posted both an Amarr version and a Caldari version, and you can change the ME numbers and your Production Efficiency skill numbers as required for your skills, and it also will do calculations based on a quantity of ships.

I made the Rig Sizing Chart at the request of a corpmate who as the latest expansion was released, was sitting in a station ready to buy rigs for one of his ships, and couldn’t remember the rig size to go along with the ship. So I created a real quick reference sheet with ship hulls and cooresponding rig size. A quick and easy way to get the rig size without consulting the EvE Fitting Tool or digging through in-game windows.

This is a quick reference sheet I made to help me with remembering important data about the game while I’m in the game without having to dig for it. Especially things like ship types to look out for on gates (dictors and heavy dictors), security status, bookmarking references for creating bookmarks, and what damage types are dealt from the various factions. I’ve included PDF, JPG, and Visio formats (Visio in case you wanted to edit it yourself). I have to give credit to Agony Unleashed for the bookmarking concepts used in the sheet. I printed out a double sided copy and laminated it. Version 3 adds better Damage Type icons and a cleaner format for them, and also ECM types by color.

The Mining Operations Split Calculator is a simple Excel spreadsheet that I tweak over time and I use frequently while running mining operations. It makes it very simple to handle split calculations for ore quickly when dividing the take of minerals up to evenly distribute the minerals or ISK to players and also to get a baseline value of the evening’s haul.
