Out to Lunch

Jorshan is leaving EvE for a while. I wanted to make this post to let all of you know. I’ll be keeping my blog up, as there are a few links to it from places, and hopefully some people will find it useful.

This is hopefully not goodbye, and I’d like to ask people (00sage00) to keep me on the twitter group, the tweetfleet for a while, since I’ll be monitoring and posting some on that group as Jorshan still. If nothing else, to hopefully come back someday soon. My CEO is keeping me in our corp in hopes I will return.

The reasons for my leaving are simple. More time to do other things. I’ve been playing EvE for almost two years (possibly longer). Religiously one could say (if EvE is considered a religion). I’ve enjoyed my time in New Eden, and I will miss it, and all of you who read my blog and follow me on the twitter group. I want to focus on family – not because anything is wrong or I’m getting a lot of wife aggro – but just because I feel I need more time to study, read books, watch movies I’ve neglected, and do other things.

Some things before I go that I’d like to share.

First thing: I had a secret alt up until two weeks ago. That secret alt was in CVA and also the Clown Punchers (the differences in the two corps were quite interesting). He didn’t do much, and that’s sort of why I ended up selling him. Made a decent amount of ISK, which will help set me up when I come back to the game.

Second thing: No you can’t have my stuff. I’m coming back. I hope. But you still can’t have my stuff. ;)

Third thing: I regret not voting for the CSM. However, after not voting, I would have made the wrong choice. I think, even with the controversy surrounding this years CSM, I think The Mittani will be a good thing for CSM. It will piss off a lot of high-seckers (if that’s a word), but in the long run, CCP needs to listen to the CSM. It’s important. We play their game. We pay them to do so. If you’re not listening to us, and treat the CSM as a figurehead with no power, then it’s no good for anyone. Most high-sec (and low sec) people deny that they need 0.0, but 0.0 is what strongly defines what happens in EvE. 0.0 warfare is what makes EvE unique among all the games out there. And that’s coming from a low-sec/high-sec resident for most of my EvE career. Not everyone will agree with this of course, and that’s your right, but post-voting, my candidate support goes to TheMittani as CSM chairman. I hope he works for the betterment of EvE for all the players.
